Getting customers through cold emails
This posts shows a way to cold email businesses fast, cheap and effectively. I got 35% response rate with this method. And it’s free.
1. Segment businesses
Go to Proff.no.
Click “Segmentering”.
Click “Velg bransjer” and choose your desired niche, (e.g. “Reklamebyråer”).
Choose the yearly revenue by typing a number in the “Driftsinntekter” field, (e.g. 3000 to infinite).
Choose number of employees in the “Antall ansatte” field, (e.g. 5-50)
Choose a way to sort the list by clicking “Relevans” and choose an option, (e.g. “Stiftelsesdato synkende”. Now we get the latest established businesses first).
2. Collect business info
In the list, collect the business name of each company in an Excel sheet. (To speed up the process, copy paste the entire list into ChatGPT with the prompt “List business names and business website links in a two column table”. Remember to turn on search the web in ChatGPT. Copy paste the response into the Excel sheet.
Collect 100 to 1000 business names.
3. Write and send emails
Write an email where you offer a deal they can’t say no to. Don’t know what to offer yet? - Ask the customer. Make the email personalized and honest. Show why they should trust you. People don’t pay for what they get, but for what they expect to get. Appear in a way that makes them expect great product/service. Personalization+Honesty+Good deal=New customer
Go on each link in the Excel sheet and find their contact page.
Find their email address and send them the email (if you want to automate the email editing process, use Zapier).
4. (Bonus) Use LinkedIn
Another way to contact businesses is to use LinkedIn.
Copy paste the list from Proff.no into Perplexity with the prompt “List the leaders names and find their LinkedIn page”. Use Zapier to automate the email editing to personalize the emails for each receiver.
